The Irvine Valley College Zombies

A popular suggestion for IVC mascot: the zombie.
That's a little too "on the nose" for me. And it's almost
the same as "IVC Republicans." But maybe.
Hungry Zombies? That's almost "aspirational,"
as they say!  I like it. I'm pretty sure if we suggest this
idea to some of our students, they'll run with it.
We'll be the college with the wicked sense of humor!

I am getting requests for letters of recommendation for the IVC scholarship program - finally - but it would help to have the information about the deadline to submit the letters. I can't find it anywhere on any communication requesting the letters OR the form I am given when I sign in online to access the form. Does anyone know? Help.

This is what I received:

Dear Supporter of Student Scholarship Applicant: This student has asked that you write a letter of recommendation in support of their scholarship application. DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL. After writing your letter, please click the link shown below to submit your letter of recommendation. Your letter of support is important to the selection process. Thank you.

The deadline is March 1.

Thanks! That gives me time.

I have submitted several letters of recommendation and while the form has improved (no more tiny boxes!) - it is still problematic. once you hit "send," your letter appears again, this time with formatting lost or changed were suggest some problems with legibility. I also wonder if the student applicant gets to read the letter - the student email is at the top of the form (!). And yes - the deadline for submission of the letter is no where to be found...

The form is improved but still confusing. I think the deadline is tomorrow.

Because of its popularity, IVC should offer a new course on zombification.
