To be fair, Mathur does have his defenders

One might be under the impression that all "public comments" at SOCCCD board meetings that opine re Mr. Goo (aka Chancellor Raghu P. Mathur) are hostile to the fellow.

Not! Every now and again, Mathur's supporters among faculty and classified management show up to read a passionate statement in defense of the fellow.

Well, no, not passionate. But a defense.

Chancellor’s “opening session”: mystery entertainer identified

Dissent has determined that the mystery “entertainment” for tomorrow’s “opening session” at IVC’s new Performing Arts Center is none other than Richard M. Nixon, who will be tickling the ivories as part of a day-long celebration of his 95th birthday.

Our own trustee Tom Fuentes will be on hand to help move Nixon’s hands around on the piano. As you know, Fuentes once suggested that Irvine’s “Great Park” be named the “Richard E. Nixon Park.” (See Dick Nixon's Revenge.)
