Irvine Valley College commencement speaker announced

Maxwell, pig
This year's IVC commencement speaker is none other than Maxwell, the popular Geico spokespig.
Roquemore
As per the college's procedures, a committee advanced three candidates to President Glenn Roquemore, who carefully weighed his options for several weeks. Evidently, this week, Roquemore settled on the porcine television personality.
This year, the selection process was somewhat controversial. One faculty member on the committee was unhappy that none of the candidates advanced to the President was a scholar, writer, or artist. Instead, the forwarded candidates comprised successful business leaders or, in the case of Maxwell, a spokespig for a successful insurance company.
Further, said the instructor, none of the candidates was a woman.
"Only one woman has been chosen to speak at commencement at this college in the last twenty years," said the dissenting instructor, who asked to be referred to as "Rebel Girl."
If that fact bothered Roquemore, he certainly didn't show it. In a press release, he is quoted as saying, "we feel that Maxwell represents the values and the vision that we want people to associate with IVC. Maxwell and IVC are a good fit."

"Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Wee wee wee wee weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
