Santorum: Colleges Have Become 'Indoctrination Centers' (Inside Higher Ed)

Rick Santorum, who is trying to pull off an upset win in the Iowa caucuses for the Republican presidential nomination, is making higher education a target. In a speech in Mason City, Iowa, Santorum said that it is time to examine support for higher education, the Associated Press reported. "Let's look at colleges and universities," he said. "They've become indoctrination centers for the left. Should we be subsidizing that?" He also criticized Harvard University. Noting that its motto is "Veritas," he said that "they haven't seen truth at Harvard in 100 years."

Santorum has pursued legislation that would have promoted "intelligent design" in public schools. Meanwhile, Harvard promotes, um, science.

Rick graduated near the bottom of his college class after majoring in remedial PE and that was a southeastern Pennsylvania State U. And he can't produce a birth certificate. Hum.

I like this guy! I think he's on the right track. Of course he's loathed by the leftists & educationists. No surprize here.

Remedial PE huh? Kind of like P. Deagan, the former IVC admin. placed very high on the totem pole by dtb in the 90s. Hmmmm...

He's just the usual blatant opportunist, 8:18. Fortunately for him, he has the cretin vote just about locked up.

OK, keep calling us conservatives cretins. Since you racist libs are so much into ad hominem and labeling, why not engage your little game and create a label for you? “Socialist thieves” is very fitting. Or how about “ballot box cheats” or just “liers?” Seems to me ballot box cheating has been the only way dems can win elections; the recent State of VA case in point. We understand you resort to ad hominem because you know you’ve already lost the debate.

Sinve you like your fellow Rick so much, who founds his campaign on name calling and dehumanizing, that's some fine hypocrisy.

As for election cheating, look to 2000 for the ebst one of all time.

Bush won fair & square and you all know it. That was like 12 years ago, you should really get over it & go play with your hanging chad.

Remember, Obama lied and many people died!

Can Mr. Troll explain how "conservatives" now are "theocrats." Serious question.

And for those of us who actually paid attention, we'll never "get over" Bush being thrust upon us by the activist Supreme Court.

Do what the tltle of the blog suggests at moveon.org, move on! Get over it. In retrospect Bush was an excellent president, as opposed to the metrosexual, imposter, Barry Sotoro.

I agree Bush was an excellent president, just as Britney Spears was an outstanding performing artist (although she did have a better command of the English language).
