OC—including Mike Schroeder—goes kookoo for Cocoa Puffs (er, gaga for Gaga)

A nearly-nude Gaga in the OC Register
The Orange County Register is known as a “conservative” paper, but, especially in recent years, its management has exhibited a willingness—even an enthusiasm—to side-step the path of rectitude and righteousness for the sake of, um, grabbin’ readership by any means necessary. And so, when Lady Gaga came to town last night, the county—and even the Reg—went gaga for Gaga.
Check out the Reg’s “story” (Lady Gaga thrills little monsters at Honda Center), which, in truth, is a slide show of over one hundred pic's of a nearly-naked Gaga and her similarly attired fans.
     Not that I’m complainin’.
Meanwhile, the OC Weekly’s photographer spotted OC’s GOP Darth Vader, Michael Schroeder, and his wife Susan Schroeder—of the DA’s office—at the Gaga show, wearing what people wear (Mike Schroeder Did WHAT Last Night With Lady Gaga?).
     Check it out:

I wonder if Tom was invited?
Amazingly, the OC Reg’s Total Buzz was sufficiently dazzled by the photo that it provided a link to it: GOP bigwigs dress up for Lady Gaga

UNICORN MEAT. Meanwhile, Think.Geek is selling really cool stuff starting today. I was especially pleased to discover its line of canned unicorn meat. Since unicorns don’t exist, vegetarians like me can chow down on this stuff without guilt!

Rybold: now opposes
"mouth" competitions
SPEECH MEET. Don’t forget Sunday’s special fundraiser for Irvine Valley College’s Speech and Debate Team (at noon in the PAC). As you know, IVC’s Speech and Forensics Department has fallen on hard times. Co-Director Gary Rybold has announced that he now "opposes competition, especially competition involving the mouth." The Team hasn’t won a major tournament for a good two weeks now, and so the college has announced plans to discontinue the entire Speech curriculum.
President Roquemore says he'll try to save one or two courses—but only if Sunday's fundraiser "really scores."
Special guests at the fundraiser will be KFI radio personalities “John and Ken,” who freely acknowledge that they learned everything they know about “sneering and critical thinking and stuff” from their time on the district Speech and Forensics Team back in the late 80s and early 90s.
Well, that just about says it all.

John and Ken: will bring "about 50" of their old "trophies and shit"

This will be a great attack ad for Spitzer should Mrs. Shroeder decide to run for D.A.

Ok; that John and Ken graphic kills me!----just reinforcing my previous point.

I think the Republicans like Lady Gaga because of that meat-dress she wore awhile back (idiot!): red meat is their fare, all right.

Thanks, MAH, though I do think you are over-harsh to the Gagster. She has explained that the "meat dress" is symbolic of something--a plausible claim. I'm gonna let her slide on this. I've had my eye on her for a while, and she strikes me as anything but irresponsible. She meant to say something critical about society by wearing dead animal flesh. Maybe she over-did it. Keep an eye on her. I think she'll surprise you. Now excuse me while I play with my pink boa.

Oh, and the John and Ken graphic? It's theirs. They seem proud of their loutish ways! But thanks anyway, cuz, yeah, I do love makin' those nasty ol' graphics that really are mine (such as the "backstabbing for beginners"). And nobody ever says anything about 'em. Sheesh.

The day John and Ken landed in LA, I knew LA radio was dead. So let's bring 'em to IVC.

Oh, wow, BvT; I will check out the "Gagster" and would be happy to be corrected. Good to hear this, and sorry for the harsh judgment that may have been rash.

It's John and Ken's own graphic?!?! Man; are they aliens, or just plain dumb?

But YEAH; your graphics kick ass, and it's a shame that people have come to take your genius with them for granted. They are prize-worthy, no doubt!
