The Southwestern College Scandal: the ACLU weighs in

The blog Save Our Southwestern College (here) reports that
In an extensively documented letter to SWC President Raj Chopra, David Blair-Loy, legal director for the San Diego/Imperial County chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, outlines how the college's actions and policies violate the First Amendment, California Education Code, and the California Constitution.
SOSC outlines the main points of the letter. Check it out.

P.S. As a reader observed, the ACLU letter cites numerous cases, including two successful suits against the SOCCCD or its Chancellor:
Khademi v. South Orange County Community College Dist., 194 F.
Supp. 2d 1011, 1021 (C.D. Cal. 2002).
Burbridge v. Sampson, 74 F. Supp. 2d 940, 948 (C.D. Cal. 1999)

The letter contains numerous references to our own battles - Khademi vs. Soccd and Burbridge v. Sampson. Someone should send this to Carol Sobel.

Last I heard, Deb Burbridge was teaching for us in bio. I still see Pourya K once in a while.
