Lovely photo!
Yes, the photo is quite attractive, quite inviting.
And whom are we going "to see soon?"
Most everyone, we hope! As one of my students said this week: 20 more days!
I, like many of my colleagues, am set to return to the actual classroom (thank God!) on the 23rd of this month. Contrary to the view of denizens of especially benighted corners, many of us in the teaching profession, long, and have long longed, for a return to the normal classroom. (Unfortunately, for a variety of reasons—e.g., enrollment issues—my other courses will remain online. If the enrollments picture improves, I'll be abandoning all online courses for in-person instruction in the Fall.)
HYPOCRITES! You all created these problems. Who are you going to see? No one! Your students are gone!
It’s sad not to have trolls, huh?
Ah, the fallacy of the single cause. Philosophy 101.
I communicate with students almost very day, see students on campus every Friday.
I look forward to our return to the classroom as do they. Many, like a lot of us, have lost people during this time. They know that the return will be complicated but trust we can do this.
The "HYPOCRITES!" troll seems fevered, nearly out of control. I see him in my mind as breathing heavily, barely containing himself, in danger of self-harm. He's the perfect advocate for his perspective.
Off-topic too, unable to respond to the topic at hand, instead making it all about him. I picture a garden hose, turned on full blast without a hand to direct it, flailing.
See you all soon!
11:59 am, how accurately you described yourself… 😂
10:16 am Rebel Girl… are you really an English professor?
I'm excited! This will be my first semester working at IVC. It will be nice to meet you all and see the students in person.
Nice pic, Rebel. See you next week. My students are excited to return. No doubt there will be challenges but we got this.
