News coverage is often revealed to be inadequate at such times. Though the fire can seem quite menacing, and it is close (as the crow flies), nobody (in the news or among officials) is talking about the danger to anything or anybody west of Santiago Peak and Trabuco Canyon. I take comfort in that, though perhaps I should not. If the fire crosses west past the peak, we're in harms way, I think. But we've been there before. Sheesh.
