Our national JACKASS

You really ought to knock it off with all your Trump bashing. Half the county voted for him, FYI. The election is over so why can't you accept the outcome of our democratoc process and just get over it already? Many did not accept the Obama regime, nevertheless people accepted him as our president and went on with their lives.

I accept him as our President-elect and, in about a month, I'll accept him as our President. But I will not cease complaining about his words, his actions, his policies, and his very stupid supporters.

Oh Roy, nothing better than to resort to name-calling. Please continue to prove that you are indeed an uncouth, childish, self indulgent, egotistical, left wing, loudmouthed moron. That's how you properly and correctly label an individual.

Now, now Glenn.

12:24, you didn't watch the Maddow video, did you? If had done so, you'd know that, according to Public Policy polling, "67% of Trump voters say that unemployment increased during the Obama administration...."
Those living in the fact-based universe know that it has decreased substantially.
According to the PP poll, "only 41% of Trump voters say that the stock market went up during the Obama administration. 39% say it went down, and another 19% say they're not sure."
In fact, the stock market numbers more than doubled during Obama's administration (the DJ average went from about 8,000 to 19,600).
So nearly 60% of Trumpsters live in fantasy land.
According to the PP poll, "73% of Trump voters think that George Soros is paying protesters against Trump...."
Well, no, in fact reliable reporting has made clear that Soros has paid no one to protest against Trump.
According to the PP poll, 29% of Trump voters think that California's votes should not be allowed to count in the national popular vote.
Huh? Earth to Trumpsters!
STUPID, I say. Just plain STUPID.

Anonymous of 8:53 AM, Dec. 13, 2016 - if you have a problem with bashing Trump, please do consider how overwhelmingly incompetent and racist he is. On the other hand, if you're fine and dandy with racism and people completely inexperienced with politics, sure I could understand why you might be upset at others bashing Trump. But if you want the US to grow in positive directions, you would not defend Trump in any way. Unless of course he somehow manages to do something useful. The point is, regardless of the outcome of the election, yes people will move on. However you can't suggest that bashing Trump's nonsensical statements and actions is bad. It is because people are cognizant of what Trump represents and fight back that the US might have any hope at all to get through the next four years.

Absolutely reliable sources, NOT! Moron!

Hey Matt, nicely stated. Just like any other bleeding heart liberal. Stop whining and move on. Trump will be our ELECTED POTUS, deal with it. You idiots had your chance, but, as usual, you sat on your asses and waited for someone else to do it for you!

"In fact, the stock market numbers more than doubled during Obama's administration." (Bauer)

So did our national debt.

"But if you want the US to grow in positive directions,..." (Matt)

That's the big lie of the left. Progressives are in fact not for progress at all, they are reactionaries (Cooledge, C, 1926)

Please explain how Trump is incompetent while the alternative is not. Everything she's ever touched ended up a dismal failure.

Please explain how Trump is any more racist than each member of the Clinton campaign team. Thank you.

I think anyone who supported Obama and Hillary is stunningly ignorant. Now look at the mess our country is in. Hopefully the Trump team will quickly clean it up.

OK, these people are trolls. Facts mean nothing to them. Ignore them.

Hi Anon of 11:14 AM, December 15, 2016 - I suggest that instead of attempting ad hominem fallacies you defend your position. I'm not a big fan of Hillary as I would have rather had someone like Bernie Sanders as the next POTUS. Fine if you don't like liberal-minded folks. But if you think that by merely insulting people you are somehow doing a good job at arguing your views and convincing people, you are mistaken. This is an important discussion to have and name-calling isn't going to help anything. Just stick to a logical argument to defend your position. At the same time, if you think that liberals like myself that wanted Sanders are idiots - take a look at the red states that voted for Trump. And if you genuinely think Trump is the way to go versus Clinton, I think that's incorrect. She may not be ideal by far. She is however light-years ahead of Trump in terms of any political experience at all and understanding basic science.

Anon of 1:36 PM, December 15, 2016 - if you have been following the 2016 election for the past few years I would be surprised that anyone could possibly suggest Clinton (or anyone on her team) is as racist as Trump. It's a non-argument. Throughout his entire campaign Trump literally offended everyone, suggesting we ought to build a wall between the US and Mexico (and surely they will pay for it, too!), as well as deport any Muslims. It is a nonsensical idea at best. As far as Trump being incompetent: he has no political experience whatsoever, he is electing people with no political experience whatsoever, he flip-flops on his stance about climate change (he said it's a hoax by China about a year ago), oh and then there's this video: http://on.cc.com/2h4Befr Trump essentially says how he said lots of things to get people riled up during the election. But now that it's all over, who cares? You can tell even supporters in his audience are surprised when he says he did this "to play" with them. Compare these things to Hillary, who isn't an ideal candidate, and the two figures just don't stack up against each other. One is not amazing while the other has no experience (Hillary does), is racist (and appoints racists to his cabinet), and has the emotions of a toddler at best (tweeting about how upset he is over an SNL sketch that accurately depicts him).

Ain't it easier to insult people rather than construct an actually useful logical argument to defend your position?

Matt, I can't believe you actually believe the shit you are spewing forth. Everything you say does not matter now. Trump won. That is the frigging point. We were/are screwed with ANY of the candidates that were put through from ANY party. I didn't want any of them! My point is stop whinning and stomping your feet about the outcome and work on finding a better candidate for the next elections. It serves no purpose to continue on your current path.

Roy, YOU are the main troll on this blog. Nobody is ignoring any facts orther than you in your delusional world. People like you just like to stir up shit but never really do anything meaningful. Don't try to say your "teaching" is meaningful. Folks like you have simply been given a pulpit so poor students can listen to your BS. You just can't stand being ignored. Very sad.

And no this is not Glenn. I do NOT support that egotistical, self serving, borderline criminal either.

9:45 AM, December 16, 2016 - Oh wow, you're right! You certainly convinced me history doesn't matter at all! Who cares about contemporary issues that matter today and not just in four years? Probably not our (unfortunately) new national jackass Trump.

Or look at it this way - the Swiss astronomer Fritz Zwicky, who originally coined the term for dark matter, also had a term he coined. Much like a sphere is a sphere from any angle you look at it, a spherical bastard is one who, from any angle, is a bastard -- I think Trump makes a great example of a spherical bastard.

Matt, you sound like one of those who hasn't lived long enough to know much of anything, yet you're a know it all.

Trump won, accept it and all that other crap means nothing at this point.

Historically the pendulum was swinging back to the right after 8 years on the left which is characteristic of the American political system. The odds were more in favor of a Republican winning than a Democrat, so get over it and moveon.org already.

Roy @2:36, everyone knows Maddow is just a hack and ass kisser of anything that is hard left. I really enjoyed watching the looks on her face as Trump won the election.

Unemployment under Obama is really more like 20% no mater how experts on the left try to spin it or manipulate the numbers. If unempolyment is as low as they claim, then how is it that many are still jobless, have given up looking for work and have gone back to school?

Don't address Roy, he's just another troll. Same with know-it-all blowhard, whiner Matt. You can package all the "facts" anyway you chose to. Whatever makes you feel like an important big boy Matt.
