Nice! He's had a couple in that new magazine of theirs and is on the masthead as a contributing writer. Too bad Glenn fired him from IVC.

Red is doing just fine at UCI. I don't know if Glenn "fired" him as much as I believe Glenn had Howard Gensler do the honors. You know how that works. But don't worry about Red. He's got plenty of work - and yes, he'll be writing regular profiles for OC Reg's Coast magazine.

Is this part of the new makeover of the Reg under the new ownership?

Think so.

But I still see Red Emma on campus, I thought he still taught here.

What is the story Red at iVC? Do share!

I thought Red quit teaching at IVC to become Raghu's full-time body guard in order to ward off Kate Clark's threats of physical violence.

In the August 5 issue of the magazine, Red has another profile - this time of a successful IVC student! It's great. You'd think Glynn would send it around and brag about it. I wonder why he has not.

I saw the profile of the IVC student too. It's a wonderful piece and our college gets credit for her success as does her teacher - our own Rebel Girl. you can bet that Glen won't say a peep about it though because it shows Rebel Girl in a good light. He's has never said anything about her accomplishments in his newsletter either even though she does the college proud and is pretty well-known in her field.

I saw this too. It came with Monday's Register. The new glossy magazine. Maybe Glenn doesn't read the paper. Lots of people don't. But it is a good piece on the student. Congratulations to her!

Thanks for all the nice comments. It's a terrific profile of a terrific student who is a good representative of the kind of older student this college still is able to serve so well. On a side note, the editor of the new magazine is another IVC alum, former creative writing and journalism student Kedric Francis who came to IVC years ago as a lawyer who was looking for another career. He found one.

Here's a link to the article about IVC student Jill Kato. It's a big two page spread.
