I Can't Get No: The SOCCCD District Services Satisfaction Survey 2012

If you're reading your summer email, you will note that today SOCCCD denizens were invited to visit the district sharepoint site and partake in the long-awaited results of the SOCCCD District Services Satisfaction Survey 2012.

Rebel Girl wandered over to peek but was befuddled (so easy to do for her) by bar graphs and percentages and the absences of her reading glasses.

A cursory glance does seems to suggest things are getting better - perhaps slowly, very slowly as John Cage once observed about the human condition.

A welcome change has come, it seems, especially at the Chancellor's Office.

Rebel Girl recommends spending quality time reading the comments which reveal - as they always do - issues that are not so easily measured.

HR seems to attract a lot of, ahem, attention - as do some specific service areas, policies and certain individuals whose names have been edited out but whose identifying characteristics are still discernible to the careful reader.

Are we satisfied?

What do you think?

I tried to pull up the "view" areas to see comments but could not access those remarks. Hum, District IT at its best or worse? Or are we teased into thinking something is there but hidden from us?

What happened to the IVC survey results?

Hey Lisa! I'm in my wonderful room here at the Vancouver Pan Pacific, overlooking the harbor, viewing the snowy mountains, etc. I might post some photos later, or maybe tomorrow. Vancouver is very cool. Lived here for two years as a child, but it's really all new to me. Driving around here gets some getting used to though. Right now, I'm looking down on a cool building that has grass on its roof. There's a Chevron station in the middle of the harbor. There's a very cool suspension bridge a mile beyond that. I think I like it here. I'm feelin' the vibe.

Well, Roy sounds satisfied - is he on sabbatical or something?

Yeah - getting to the comments requires some skill but they are worth it. A lot of resentment toward ATEP.

When will we get the IVC survey results?

I'm glad people appreciate the new Chancellor. I wish he'd look at what is happening at the college level. come visit and talk to us please. (without our "leaders" in the room.)

I couldn't access the comments. Anyone know the secret? I, too, like the Chancellor, but he needs to look at IVCs leadership. Many at the college are not happy at all. And, it is telling that the IVC satifaction survey was never released. We all know why.

Go to the end of the document. The view sites are not active.

Just scroll down through the numerous colored graphs to the end.

Read the survey comments. Very disturbing, that HR.
