She looks like a nice person and all, but how on earth are "teachers of the year" chosen? I'm guessing it's some sort of personality contest.
1:46, it is clear that many recipients of the Teach of the Year award at our college (IVC) have been very deserving, and I believe that such is the case with Ms. Ryals. But it must be acknowledged that some recipients have been scandalous. The process has never been intelligently designed or regulated. I recall, years ago, a certain spouse of a certain President: she gave her students materials necessary to make her the year's Teacher of the Year. Her succession to the throne was prevented only by intercession by the Academic Senate President at the time (WG). Why don't you ask her about it? It's a good story. And it's absolutely true. (I was on the cabinet at the time. We were amazed.)
Kay's a great teacher. I am glad her efforts were recognized.
Kudos from Saddleback faculty to Kay. We are proud of you.
Congradualtions Kay!!
I love her!!
Great post, sweetie! I'll be waiting for more! By the way, why don't you make your weblog a little more social.
