Really? Adjuncts not invited?

Good grief.
Not a good sign. Not at all. Sheesh.
Part-timers, you should show up for this thing and ask why you weren't invited.
You should just take the goddam thing over (and, no, I don't mean violence, tea-baggers).
Again, during discussions of the CAFÉ (i.e., the "Center for the Advancement of Faculty Excellence") on the senate floor, we were assured that the center was for all faculty, not just full-timers!

Yes, come join us higher ed elites in celebrating the eviction of those pesky students from the MRC. Oh and did I mention, ajuncts don't even bother showing up, you weren't invited and we didn't order any food for you.

Is bvt now realizing he's been hoodwinked?

No, jackass. And the issue isn't me. Try to stay on track. --BvT

Bvt, please show us an illustration of Tea Party folks being violent. That violent stuff going down in London ain't coming from conservatives, ya know...

CAFE = IVC's failure in SAO (student accessability outcome).

I invited the OC Register and the Times. Can't you just imagine the headlines? I hope the trustees are coming.

"IVC faculty lounge with libations during economic downturn. To the students: Let them eat cake."

Doesn't the state dictate the appropriate use of a new building? Aren't square feet assigned as classroom v non-classroom space according to a strict formula? What do we do? Cut the ribbon on the building and the minute the parking lot empties, we reassign the space to suit ourselves? I voted for this because I thought MRC was an unused media recording space in the Library.

Violent "tea-baggers? Grandparents waving American flags? You must have meant "leftists", who, unlike tea partiers, regularly engage in violence worldwide.

No one implied that tea baggers are violent. The implication was that Tea Baggers would be inclined to accuse BvT of violence since he suggested that adjuncts should "take over." God you people are stupid.

"Grandparents waving American flags"--sheesh. They want their SS and Medicare, but can't stand the thought of taxes, apparently. They are the supreme example of greedy narcissists who could not care less about the implosion of the country.
The Koch brothers own them.

I thought a tea bagger was a different sort of bloke? I don't think it is teabags they "wave."

The original Tea-Partiers (c. 2008) called themselves "tea-baggers"--until the unfortunate sexual connotations of that phrase came to light. That's when they switched to "Tea Partiers." Nowadays, there critics love to throw the term "tea-bagger" back in their faces, just to remind them how clueless they are.

huh-huh-huh-uh-huh-huh....you said teabagger.....

1:29, ignorance is bliss. One would expect anyone voting on such important matters impacting students would at least make some effort to inform themselves. Wouldn't ya thunk?

Please, keep mocking and accusing the Tea Party of violence! The new silent majority likes this because it exposes leftist extremism for what it really is. Notice how in 2010 it worked? Tea Party influenced candidates took the house and almost the senate! If you keep it up, they will no doubt take the rest of government in 2012. So please, keep up the great work!

2:17, those greedy, flag waiving, conservative grandparents who want their SS checks were, unlike the leftists, are the ones who actually worked their whole lives and paid into the system.

Hey bvt, No jackass! pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!

Well, 7:52, please find a dictionary and look up the term "irony," because these baggers wouldn't have SS but for those awful leftists.

You'll probably find, too, with a little mental clarity, that these same leftists are often more educated than the righties, have better jobs overall, and pay more in taxes--and they're fine with it! What a world, huh?

Yeah I guess if it weren't for the socialist FDR, people would be too stupid to be trusted saving their own money in their own private retirement accounts, and at much higher yields than what the govt could ever deliver. So FDR's solution was to confiscate their earnings to pay for his pie in the sky new social government complex.

Well, let's see--you are assuming that all sorts of people would have the discipline and the wherewithal to save in their very own private accounts, (most would not, I assure you) that would be administered by banking folks who make lovely commissions. The genius of SS is that it takes a small portion of earnings and provides a necessary safety net that has worked beautifully for many years.

Now, of course, what you don't get--and please pay attention--is that there is practically no administrative costs eating into the funds--2%, probably. So the greedmeisters whose flabby butts you're kissing (you know the Koch Brotehrs, right?) are in a state of apoplexy because there's all that money in SS, and no one's getting a big old cut! It drives them nuts, and so they're getting the kool aid drinkers--you--to see about getting their beaks into that sweet sweet pile of untainted money.
