It's all about Mathur

This morning, Tracy D sent the district community an “April News Update.” Here, we learn that
Orange County Treasurer Chriss Street recently made a presentation to the District Leadership Council of administrators and managers. He discussed projections of declining real estate revenues over the next three years. He also shared his support for community colleges and the essential work we do for thousands of students. Upon the recommendation of Treasurer Street, Chancellor [Raghu P.] Mathur was recently appointed by the Orange County Board of Supervisors to serve on the Orange County Treasurer Oversight Committee.

As DtB readers know, all of this, of course, is old news. But since Chancellor Raghu P. Mathur is fully committed to using his office to further his ridiculous political ambitions, we can expect endless reminders of every little feather in his tiny, scruffy cap.

Like former Sheriff Mike Carona, D.A. Tony Rackauckas, and other key members of Team Fuentes (or Team Schroeder), Treasurer Street is a denizen of Fuentesworld—the sleazy and unprincipled right wing of the OC GOP. Street, of course, has been dogged by charges of excess and corruption (especially with regard to his pre-Treasurer life).

In the news update, we also learn that
A team from our district recently visited the Ohlone College Newark Center for Health Sciences and Technology. The facility was awarded a LEED Platinum certification by the U.S. Green Building Council and is a wealth of ideas for energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

Gosh, do you suppose it was necessary to fly all of these people up to the Bay Area for this visit? I’ll see if I can determine cost to the district.

Not so long ago, Chancellor Mathur was indifferent to “green” ideas, but now that Greenitude and "sustainability" are in the spotlight, he’s all over 'em—when, that is, photo ops are involved.

Read the news update. Marvel at the fact that it's all about Raghu Mathur.

Did Williams go? Did he stay at the Ritz?

Judging by the photo, 6-8 district administrators/managers were along for the visit.

Thanks, Herr Chunks made the original connection between the sauce and the "real" Raghu. I don't know if he has ever seen the cheesy Ragu though.
