Stupid people taking pictures of an angel in the sky

Today’s Register (Does motorist's photo show an angel in the sky?) reports that, this morning, a local realtor observed and photographed an angel in the sky.

According to the Reg,
Chris Demerjian was driving home from a doctor's appointment in Orange late Thursday morning when she glanced into the clear blue skies above Santiago Canyon Road.

"Oh my God!" she said in disbelief. "There's an angel in the sky!"

"These are tough times. A lot of people are struggling. I think this is God's way of saying, 'Everything is going to be OK — that God is here with us as we go through all our trials.

"He is telling us to not give up.

"It just gave me chills."

Demerjian sent the picture to friends via email.

Her friend, Linda Spadoni, took a picture of the clouds from another angle in Rancho Santa Margarita.

Spadoni, a member of Saddleback Church, was so moved she sent it to Saddleback Pastor Rick Warren.

The cloud formation dissipated at around 11:45 a.m., Demerjian said — but not her faith.

"This was a sign from God," she said.

You're the stupid one, Chunk. You and all of your fellow non-believers. Dumb as dirt and arrogant enough to judge others who choose to believe otherwise. Now go talk to your stupid fuckin cat and live out your insignificant life in misery.

Maybe there is a God, and he held the angel over the skies of Orange County to simply tear it to pieces in a huff.

As if to say: "Fuck you, 'The O.C.'"

Besides, that cloud formation clearly has a tail: It has got to be an imp or a gargoyle or something.

Chunck,

You say Chris is stupid only because he managed to capture something you never could have in all your years of photography. Face it, he's much better at it than you.

Chunk, why don't you take a long walk on a short pier?

Ice crystals. Wind.

I think the cloud is encouraging people to go to more Iyengar yoga classes.

Wow, the Register is REALLY in decline...

Okay, believers. Is that what Jesus would say? You all certainly are the models of decency and good in this world. Particularly when you put the word "fucking" in front of the word "cat."

Do these wonderful Christian folks (including the easily impressed photographer)get to vote? It's time for IQ tests as a prerequisite.

I am so pleased to find that the Christian community continues to harbor loving and gentle people, not just benighted shutterbugs. Thank you for your kind words.

Please note that I was not judging Christians or Believers. My title implied a judgment about those who take random cloud formations to be signs from the Lord--signs communicating in particular something about our economy no less.

Stupid.

I'm not a christian, Chunk. Just a lib hater - can't you tell?

My favorite is the Jesus in the dog's anus.

Clearly a sign that everything is going to be fine.

PEACE everyone. Just peace. Align with peace. Whether Christian, Muslim, Jew, atheist (do you capitalize that? If so I mean no disrespect.)agnostic or photography partizan, see the good in peoples' intentions. It may seem simple- minded to some of us, but each person is at a different level of spiritual development. Chris was comforted by this image after a trip to the doctor. Why not see that as a good thing?

I think Warren's a boob too but to some he makes sense and provides a sense of security in a very uncertain time.

Peace, just peace.

Look, a cloud formation taken as a sign from god is certainly harmless enough, I guess, but it sort of scares me at the same time.

Now, if god can get me a cheeseburger, a side of fries, and a martini and make it negatively caloric, then I'll sign on.
