Rebel Girl's Domestic Corner

The change in season is upon us and Rebel Girl was seized by the spirit, perhaps carried in those winds that arrived last night. And some of you might have thought all she cares about is poetry and politics!

So, she and the little guy began preparations for El Dia de Los Muertos, the Day of the Dead, which does look an awful like Halloween at their home.

This year there are many folks (too many!) to remember but they won't be putting out the photos and the food until November 1st.

They had fun unpacking the sugar skulls and calaveras and cutting papel picado and making the flowers.

Then food: something Greek: Chickpea Soup From Sifnos (ρεβιθόσουπα) (recipe courtesy of the marvelous blog, Kalofagas) and homemade bread.

Yiassou!

Yamas!

To life.
