"Heck of a meeting": Soliciting info about last night's board meeting

10:39 writes:
Meanwhile, back at our ranch, you missed a heck of a meeting. Two marathon public comments sessions -- one on Don Wagner's scholarship ceremony "invocation" and one on Carmen Dominguez's mysterious reassignment away from musical theatre. And the Board Reports are also not to be missed....
.....--To see Don's "scholarship ceremony" remarks, go to invocation.
.....Last night's meeting was the first in a long time not covered by your intrepid DtB reporter. (Tracy offers highlights of the meeting here.)
.....Anybody else have information about the meeting? Let us know. And thanks, 10:39. --CW

.....To view the board meeting, go to board videos. The May 27 video is not posted yet, but it should be soon.

I saw someone gnawing on a tree trunk on campus today. At least that's what it looked like.

Tracy Daly's highlights say this about Nancy Padberg's report:

"Trustee Nancy M. Padberg attended the SC scholarship event and college graduation ceremonies. She congratulated John Ozurovich who moved the SC commencement from the football field to the basketball court. She congratulated President McCullough and wished him well in retirement. She attended the KSBR Birthday Bash and encouraged everyone to attend next year."

No mention of the fact that in the same report she said that Wagner's "invocation" was a political speech, that she apologized to the people at her table for it, and that he should make good whatever money donors move away from the Foundation (some who attended said they would unless he apologized or some other action was taken).

I'm sorry to say three of us had started to leave just before she said this -- it was getting late! -- but the one in the rear heard Nancy begin, stayed behind to hear it, and passed it on to us just afterward. I'm very sorry I didn't hear it myself; I should have contributed to cheering.

That's the kind of head gear you need in my neck of the woods, B. Love it!
