In the OC Register, photographer BRUCE CHAMBERS explores lovely Silverado Canyon. Check it out.

As you know, the Dissent Commune is located in the Santa Ana Mountains, which comprise Modjeska, Black Star, Trabuco, and Silverado Canyons, among others.

You guys all live together and work together?
Dude, we don't really live in a commune. Figuratively, I guess, we've got some kinda commune goin'. And we do all live in these canyons out here.
As I write, I see three deer walking past my place.
No hippies.
Silverado Canyon also has its share of cowboys, bikers, and rednecks, Chunk, along with dissenters like you. Almost like heaven.
No hippies, just lots of meth-heads, social outcasts and misfits.
