Today, the Saddleback president told his deans in a meeting that the college is going back to normal in the Fall. COVID will be under control.
He said saddleback has to because saddleback needs the enrollement. Which means Saddleback needs the money.

Saddleback and IVC have gobs of money in reserve even if SC spent upwards of 80 million on an unnecessary football stadium. Basic Aid provides this district and a few others with much additional $$$$$.

I don't understand how Saddleback can go "back to normal" in the fall when those of us at IVC have heard that "back to normal" in the fall is untenable for various reasons.

I can't imagine that the union would be on board with a hasty return due to $$$ and not science and safety.

12:48...just because your union leaders are a bunch of corrupt dodos !!

I couldn’t agree more. These are the same people who are hogging leadership positions - including department chairmanship - for quite a while while there are many of us full-timers who are capable of performing these tasks. Worse, they use this as a negotiating tool with the district so they can drive their Mercedes and Porsche!

Teachers I know from 3 universities at which I taught and was tenured and IVC and Saddleback (I've taught at both colleges) do stay in touch with their students, work with them, encourage them, support them.

4:24, thanks but how is that possible ?? Case in point... our current union president ran for the nth time because he was worried that “another full-timer” would run, right ?? That’s according to saddleback folks...
