Dream Act: so far so good

Student illegal immigration bill wins House vote (OC Reg)
A bill that would give some students and military hopefuls who are in the country illegally a pathway to legal residency barely passed in the House Wednesday night in Congress.
The Development, Relief and Education for Minor Aliens Act, better known as the DREAM Act, passed 216 to 198.
The Senate will vote Thursday morning on the DREAM Act, according to news reports and immigration activists who are following the issue. The bill must win 60 votes in the Senate to become law.
Those who supported the bill rejoiced while anti-illegal immigration activists denounced the vote….
