To the sky! (From the 5 to the 33) |
A resolution honoring trustee Don Wagner, who is retiring from the board after 12 years, is on the agenda.
Natch. Inevitable. Like death and taxes, corruption in gov't, poor leadership at IVC, etc.
I guess that means that Don will likely show up at least long enough to bask in this Rez. Here it is:

Good Lord.
The truth about Mathur that Don finally came to "see" a couple of years ago was clearly laid out for him (by me, among others) as early as 1998. He not only blew off all warnings, he ardently supported the manifestly unsavory Mr. Mathur for ten freakin' years.
Gosh, thanks ever-so-much.
Doesn't Don read his Bible? When, after a decade of supporting a conniving despot, he finally wises up and cans the guy—why, that's a cue for his groveling for our forgiveness. Get it right, dude!
But no. He expects prizes and paeans of praise. Hosannahs and shit.
'Bye Don. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
Plus: start bonin' up on the "morality" part of the Christianity thing. You're gettin' it all wrong, near as I can tell.
Interestingly, also on the agenda is the video for IVC’s 25th Anniversary Celebration. You’ll recall that, last month, Wagner’s anger (over the failure of a certain person to be advanced in the course of a certain dean search?) at IVC’s President Glenn Roquemore was so great that the latter was stymied at every turn—including the presentation of this goofy video.
I’ve seen it. Wait for the part where the cheerleaders seem to chant, “big boobs!”
As you know, for years now, the district has engaged in a review of SOCCCD Board Policies. Among the policies to be discussed on Wednesday is BP-6122, “Challenge of Adopted Instructional Materials”:

The recommended “revision” is removal of the policy. So, what does this mean? Does removal of 6122 mean that they’re not guaranteeing this freedom and the exercise of this right anymore?
Does anybody know what this is about?
It appears that, on Wednesday, the board will be accepting the recommendation “for review and study.” So they won't be approving the recommendation just yet.
