Scenes from Spring Break 2010

Rebel Girl and family opted for a few days in the desert: wildflower bloom, eighty degree days, big night skies and each other.

The little guy sketches now everywhere he goes. Here he is at the pupfish pond at the Anza Borrego Interpetative Center.

Here's the sketch. What they like best about this is not the result as much as it is the keen quiet attention the little guy pays to things, how he can sit still for ten, fifteen minutes and look, his hands and fingers following his eyes as he tries to put it all together.

See you tomorrow!

How tall is the boy standing next to the barrel cactus?

The ability to see and draw can take care of him for his lifetime. Thanks for the photos. Yes, tomorrow.

I love the pictures of the kids! I was thrilled to see the picture of our other cutie. Correct me if I am wrong, but it really seems like he has grown from the last photo you posted. Maybe it is the camera angle. This reminds me that time sure does fly. Thanks again.:)

I didn't know barrel cactus grew that tall. How old is he now? 7?
