Oddly, they seem to have disappeared!

Today, those wacky dissenters on Save Our Southwestern College do a follow-up on yesterday’s story of a San Diego Union Tribune (UT) editorial that praised the odious Southwestern College President Chopra. Virtually all comments that the editorial attracted were scathing denuciations of Chopra and the editorial.

So guess what happened next?

Oddly, online comments on yesterday's … Union Tribune editorial … seem to have disappeared. (The editorial itself is intact.) Also missing are two letters to the editor in support of the suspended professors.

Possibly, the online UT is undergoing some formatting changes, and the missing items are the result of a technical glitch. Not to worry. We were able to recover the items, and in the interests of helping out the UT, we present them here.

I like this off-white/ ivory color you have going on now - the columns seem more distinct, too. I liked the other white, but I like this version even better.

She lives!
Actually, I haven't changed the background color at all. I did change some of the other colors, however: links, titles, etc. I forget what I was doin', but it seemed to work.
It amazes me that, when i change the blog format, some will be pissed off (or aesthetically horrified), and even if I change it back to what it was, somebody's gonna be carping.
i accept this, as I accept so many things.

I think I get it. Someone took me seriously when I wrote: "i accept this, as I accept so many things." I intended that to be ridiculous in another way entirely. Sheesh.

Some people are seriously in need of a "sense of humor". I mean really. I wondered, though, when I read the comment, if someone wasn't just jumping at an opportunity to take a swipe at you. It's completely obvious what you meant, so it seems to me that the commenter is either being funny himself, or is being obnoxious. Either way, it's amusing.

You seem to be amused by posts being deleted. Isn't this what you folks here at DTB are also very good at doing?

Oddly, Anon at 2:37 is mistaking Dissent for a newspaper! ha ha ha

I think the Union-Trib should be held to a higher standard but maybe that's just me!

I LIKE it when they edit people making odd remarks about young children or the Viagra ads that disappeared earlier today. The alcohol-inspired rants posted late at night should also be deleted - though I do hope the editors keep copies of them as evidence of mental instability and perseverating behavior.

Who knows, they may need them.

I'm gald someone notices how creepy the comments can get late at night. Me, I am relieved when they are cleaned up. Embarrassing. You'd think the people who wrote them would be too when they wake up sober and reflect.
