Video highlights of Wednesday's board meeting

Of course, "highlights" is a relative term:

Hysteria
Appreciation
Charges of "patheticness"
Does Marcia say something "unbelievable"?

trustee Williams says "I don't want to wait until there is ANOTHER shooting on campus"...er did I get that right? You guys have had shootings on campus? Does he have some secret plan to PREVENT a shooting? Is he going to hire Carona and the(nepotism waiver?)Two Debs to do that? I hear they need work (They've incurred hefty "consultant" fees lately). You guys could run a campus security training program. Then you could use student "little sheriffs" to patrol your campii packing heat to deter would-be homicidal maniacs as part of their classroom instruction. They could all wear brown shirts with SOCCCD armbands, shiny black hats, lederhosen, and black Nike sneakers. They could give out parking tickets too! And arrest skate-boarders! They could shoot gophers in your lawns! Rahgu is going to be needing a Mercedes ragtop to review the troops er students. You could have mass rallies and instill pride back into your staff. All this upside vs the despair you now experience.

I'd be careful with access to that new clock tower though.

FTES + campus security = win win

Great music. But less of the guy with the beard, more of the cute kid at the end next time. Oh, and less of the guy who says that the thing Marcia didn't say was unbelievable . . . . Now wait, if it's unbelievable and she didn't say it, does that mean that what she did say is believable? These knights and knaves problems always trip me up.

One serious note: I must thank you for the clip of Fuentes's It's-terrible-but-having-said-that-I-see-no-reason-not-to-vote-for-it speech. It's going to become a permanent part of my online course's section on the prisoner's dilemma.

I don't get it. Surely your district's reserves are way, way, WAY more than 5%.
