The North Orange County Community College District has appointed a new chancellor.

Ned Doffoney, president of Fresno City College, will succeed Chancellor Jerome Hunter, who is retiring after eight years.

.....He once served as president of Saddleback Community College in Mission Viejo and has been active in the group 100 Black Men of Orange County.
.....The district serves nearly 70,000 students at Cypress College, Fullerton College and a school of continuing education.

P.S.:

Our pal Marla Jo Fisher at the OC Reg also reported on Doffoney's appointment (See). She includes a link to a YouTube video of Ned.

Is it true that all the deans at IVC have either resigned, retired or been fired?

There's two left (Cipres & Shak) - it's sort of like the game Ten Little Indians.

Oh--and who's that new clueless dean who replaced Dixie?

Some colleges have the crazies running the asylum; IVC has no one! I don't know whether to envy you or pity you. Good luck!

Gee. That story was also in the Orange County Register, which unlike the LAT is not a carpetbagger institution. It was also posted on our new College Life OC blog which also features Red Emma in his alternate persona, Captain Adjunct. Check it out.http://collegelife.freedomblogging.com/

Geez, we need a new chancellor. I heard that he threatened all of the administrators and managers at a meeting this week with a dock in pay if they don't show to his meetings. Is this really true? What a crazy maniac.
