Remember the "Orange County News Channel"?

Good for you! You get a prize—namely, by clicking the big arrow, you get to watch OCN's coverage of the FROGUE affair (1997-9).

Watch union VP Sharon Macmillan condemn the media and the "extremists" they pay attention to!
It turns out the extremists include both the local Republican and Democratic parties, which, months later, supported the Frogue Recall.
Watch John Williams stand by his man as the fellow presents a stack of very important papers—pumpkin papers, I think.
☺● For those who missed it: here's Teddi Lorch evidently getting all bent out of shape because we put her head on a pterodactyl:

Aside from her association with the Board Majority—and the fact that she's south of competent and that she managed to weasel that job she now has—we've got absolutely nothing against Ms. Lorch. She was never on our radar. So what was all the fuss about? I don't get it.

Plus we always used her high school photo, which is nice. Even on that pterodactyl! Sheesh!

(We fixed the technical snafu. Now it's smooth as silk.)

Unscrupulous faculty - now there's an oxymoron!

Oxymoron? How so? In 1996, the faculty union got Frogue and his pals elected by distributing a fancy flier that invented the specter of "same-sex" domestic partner benefits! At the time, Frogue had already been accused of Holocaust denial, etc., by his students. Did this bother the union? It did not.

Liked the frog.
Whatever happened to OCN?
Can someone fix my VCR?

Didn't Raghu support Frogue?

You left leaning pinheads loved Ward Churchill and yet you castigate Steve Frouge. In the minds of many, two fringe nut jobs not worth a bucket of spit, but you leftists sure think your nut jobs are special.

It's interesting to see on this piece of ancient video, Irv Rueban, the JDL thug who killed himself in jail. Do you miss your old friend, Chunk?

Gosh, I don't recall expressing my love for Mr. Churchill.

Perhaps you are hallucinating?

You misspelled Irv's name, too. Are you a teenager? A small child?

No matter. Keep workin' on that readin' 'n' writin'. You'll eventually get the hang of it.

Did Ward Churchill teach at Saddleback or something?

I thought he was in Colorado.

Why does the troll bring him up of all people?

and why can't the man spell?

Irv Rubin always gave me the creeps. Wasn't he indicted for the death of Alex Odeh?

How come Teddi looks so good? Has she had work done? Don't like the hair, though. And she seems kind of petulant and childish at the end. Plus she seems to think she's in a scene from Room 222. What's her problem, anyway? Is she a throwback to the 50s? She shouldn't call you a murderer, I say, unless you are one. But you aren't, so....

They also like "Shrillery" and "Billery," not very good attempts.

But,then, what do you expect from those who listen to Sean and Rush, et al.

What did Ward Churchill say that was not, essentially, true?

The Eichmann comment was related to the beauracratic types who facilitate evil, such as those in corporate positions who profit from war and oil. No truth there? Come on.

If I see a pterodactyl I'm gonna bag it. Sorry Teddi, but getting a shot at a prehistoric flying lizard is waaaay to good a thing to pass up.

So here's Wagner, a lawyer, wondering why a matter involving the First Amendment and religion in government would end up in court.

What a doofus.

The way I remember it, w/Ms. Lorch it was a Taradactil (unless what you put was the same thing). I remember b/c I went to that meeting, and this was the word she used. She claimed that she was maligned (or was it libeled?)in the Dissent, by a member of the faculty & wanted compensation from the district for her mental anguish. I just remember her standing up there trying in her own pathetic way to get in her sound bite b/c she was desparate for any "potential" law suit money. Well, this & she was desparate to be elected to the Republican Central Committee (of course, later on b/c of her's & her blow hard hubby's reputation came in last place. i.e., lost big time). I just sat there trying not to laugh b/c she tried to sound so serious, like her psyche had just been blown. I just rolled my eyes. I still have that huge book of Dissent articles you put together. I'll have to dig it out.:-) .

Hello! I guess I stand corrected. I was sure that Teddie specifically mentioned that particular graphic in her speech, but I guess not. However, I remember very well that it was the graphic w/her head on a pterodactyl in the most recent version of the "Dissent" that she was definitely referring too. I just remember trying not to start busting up laughing as she stood at the podium b/c it was sooo pathetic that she was sooo desparate for law suit money, & free publicity for her run for the Republican Central Committee in the 73rd A.D. that she would make an ass of herself on live t.v. I just sat there rolling my eyes in disbelief. For some reason I was sure she used the word "libel" too, but that could have been in her law suit complaint. I seem to recall that she was trying to sue the district claiming this if the board didn't do something about her "pain & mental anguish" she would sue. In any case, I probably heard more menusha from Tom, her blow hard husband also throwing words around like "libel." Then there was my favorite "All Jews stick together, like Marsha, Dave & 'others.'" All I was thinking is that this guy is a f*cking idiot & has real issues w/anger management. Yes, 2 other people heard it too, but I don't remember who. We (the idiot & some of the public the rest of the some faculty & administrators) waiting & waiting for the board to come out of closed session, & eating their dinner. You hadn't gotten there yet. Teddie really didn't have a pot to piss in, and the sad part is that I actually think she meant what she said under these delusions of persecution she was claiming. I was waiting for some guy in a white coat to show up w/a butterfly net. By the way, as far as Teddie's really bad dye job goes, to me it was obvious that she had a horrid hair dresser b/c even I could see chunks of brown underneath her frosted head. Of course, maybe both she & Dottie were going for this Cruella De Ville look. Dottie's hair was the same way. You know, these obvious dark roots underneath this blonde top. I think that most likely her & Dottie shared the same blind hair dresser. Yep, 2 definite candidates for the "Recycle the stupid" program.:-)

2nd, I also remember fairly well about Wagner & his issues w/the benediction & Ced's faxed memo. At least to me at the time it sounded more like Zanelli's work, than what came from him b/c it appeared to me that he was reading much of his speech & occasionally looking up to show us some eye contact. Ho hum! another long winded political grand standing speech. Gee, another 10 minutes of my life I will never get back. What I thought was a bit amusing was that he kept using the word "Believer" like he was thinking of himself. Last time I checked, the word "Believer" was meant to refer to the fundamentalist Jesus Nazis, & definitely not him. These real sanctimonious "Believers" honestly believe and preach that they only know who the "real Jesus" is, & if you don't worship the way they do then you are going to "burn in the fires of hell for all eternity." You know, unless Wagner has had a religious conversion in the last 8 years for political expedience then they are referring to people in his religion. Wagner is supposedly a fairly devout Roman Catholic, so this would mean he's a "non-Believer" too mostly b/c of the pope factor. My point being, IMO it was really stupid of him to go on & on blathering about this when these people probably don't respect his own beliefs anyway. Another thing I found interesting is that he didn't mention who this "author" of this education code that passed in L.A. was Irv Ruben. Heck, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt this one time. I suppose the reason why he didn't mention it b/c he didn't want to paint himself w/the same Brush as Frogue. In any case, yes I do have a life, but just have an excellent memory for these sorts of things. Of course, those 5 years of dealing w/this board (1996 - 2001)was probably the most bizarre experience I've ever had in my life. You know, going to meetings where there's a Holocaust denier on the board, & hard core neo Nazis show up at meetings along w/the JDL. I don't even remember if we had metal detectors. Then the M.V.P.D. being around. I often wondered if there was a vice squad on alert too. Of course, now we're dealing w/a somewhat different animal in Fuentes. Well, he's Frogue light. Meet the new boss, almost as bad if not worse than the old boss. I only hope that Fuentes "retires" soon & then we can have a shot at a better board. Until then "Life will just keep on sucking" @ the SOCCCD.:-(
