Yes We Can

Rebel Girl has already voted - lots of no's (No! No! No! No! No! No! - she's like that)and one big YES.

Here's some music for you all to vote by. I know we're not the prime audience for this thing 'cause Rebel Girl recognized only one of the muscians. Still, rock out.

Rebel Girl suspects that Chunk will dislike this video but she posts its anyway knowing that it is their aesthetic differences that make this blog the fairest blog in all the land.

Vote!

Well, all the rhetoric is there - why not?

Yeah, I didn't recognize anyone either. I was sure that was Matthew Fox playing the guitar. Guess I was wrong. So are you SURE? Really POSITIVE??? This is the RIGHT DECISION?

I know what you mean about Chunk not liking the video--I struggled with trying NOT to like it, fellow philosopher that I am (and hence profoundly suspicious of such effective musical and rhetorical appeals). Nevertheless, I liked it in spite of myself. And I like Obama plenty.

How amazing to feel EXCITED about voting again (and not just terrified).

In my innocence, I thought that the video producers had simply recruited some talented amateur musicians to provide the video's soundtrack. I had no idea that any of them were actually famous.

"If it feels good it must be good." Obama is nothing but a personality! When it's over, the liberals will be saying, "How did McCain get elected?"

I worry about how much more electable McCain will be with Hillary inspring the right.

I heard that Bob Dylan's son produced this video - done on their own outside the Obama campaign.

NPR had a story on it.

Sure: nothing but a personality who opposed this catastrophic war when almost no one else did (and certainly not Clinton or any prominent Republican). So what we have here is a person of sound judgment, humane caution, and real integrity. Not bad--and obviously infinitely better than the past administration's henchmen.
