The Guardian reports that Republican Senator Ted Cruz will be chairing the committee in charge of NASA and the country’s scientific endeavors. Cuts in science/NASA funding might come next.
According to the Guardian, Cruz has attempted to cut NASA’s funding in the past. They also report that, a year ago, Cruz told CNN that “the last 15 years, there has been no recorded warming” to support "a so-called scientific theory" and that he has noisily opposed the EPA.
Cruz is not alone in this shift in power:
Senator Marco Rubio, Republican from Florida, was named chair to the subcommittee on oceans, atmosphere, fisheries and coast guard, which oversees the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (Nooa) and the protection of oceans and marine life in US jurisdiction. Rubio has said he does not “believe that human activity is causing these dramatic changes to our climate”, which is a more lenient position than the new chair of the environment committee, Jim Inhofe, who denies climate science outright.

It is sun spot activity and our distance from the sun, that causes climate change.
Do take the tin foil out of your hat. Stetson, right?
I think 8 years of stupid socialist people (see N. Palosi) running the government was enough, and evidentely so did the majority of Americans. Climate change science is junk science, BTW.
As the saying goes, folks are entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts. That this character gets to vote based on a complete ignorance of just about everything and thus contribute to all of us circling the drain is galling.
Right you are. We've addressed "climate change" skepticism occasionally in the past. See here. I'm very much afraid that the skeptics are rationally unreachable. Bad spellers, too ("Palosi")
Wrong, Roy. Its not that we're rationally unreachable. The scientific community, their studies and findings are mired in scandals and conflicts of interest. 1. Receipients of govt. research grants tend to produce findings that keep the grants coming. 2. It is a well known fact that data has been manipulated to produce desired findings. and 3. members of that same community have spoken out about the big fraud that is climate change science. To hold a position that the debate is over on something as complex as climate change science, which has been inconclusive at best, is downright unscientific and smells of an agenda. Yup, its the liberal tax agenda. As in we're all not being taxed enough (see Al Gore).
Liberal tax agenda? I consider myself strongly liberal...who wants to pay more taxes? That's such a misconception. Liberals want to see more equity in the way taxes are paid. That is different. But nuance never is the strength of the right.

The Washington Times is not even close to the Washington Post, a real newspaper, you blithering idiot.
Yes, a blithering idiot, and a STINKARD to boot.
