Again, Sarah: watching vids with Uncle Roy |
UPDATE: A certain reader (I'll call her "Jan") requested that we include drawings provided by my niece Sarah for gifts to my dad and to me.
Happy to oblige.
The image/card on top (above) is for my dad, who drives a blue Toyota truck. Note the deer, the rabbits, and the snakes. The one on the bottom is for me. It depicts those occasions in which I show the kids videos on YouTube. Strictly wholesome stuff, I assure you. Among our favorites: the famous "teasing the dog" video.
Sarah seems oddly aware that we tend to use Apple equipment here in the canyon.
As Jan suggested, Sarah, who seems much older than her ten years, is pretty talented. Without direction from anyone, she's taken up the family tradition of creating "card art." She seems to be very competitive, driven. Not that anybody around here wants to compete with her. But she wants to do the things we oldsters do, which is only natural.

It's "birth" extravaganza day here at the Bauers. Seems like everybody's born in July. So, today, we'll celebrate my dad's, my nephew's and my B-Day. (My bro's B-Day is on the 29th!)
We have a "home-made card" tradition here in Bauer Land, and, usually, Annie and I work on them together. This time, circumstances conspired to prevent that. I made the one below (two sides) for young adam. Annie made the second one (again below, two sides) for my dad.
As you can see, Annie's the one with artistic talent. (But see Sarah's stuff above!)
