If in fact science could somehow be depoliticized that would be welcomed. However, humans are a notoriously biased bunch and I fear that will prove impossible. For instance, somehow the anthropomorphic global warming issue always seems to be tied at the hip to anti-capitalists. And it is an equally bad signal to be recognizing Warren at the inauguration when the guy actually believes in creationism....man walked with Dino the dinosaur, and the Earth was formed in a week etc.. This augers a degree of incoherence. This is not welcomed by torabora. I make no secret of my distrust of the new administration. Not that the last 8 years haven't had their own share of buffonery....to say the least.
TB, the outgoing administration has not just had its share of buffoonery--it has set a new standard, and has raised the bar with a display of ineptitude and that probably cannot be topped. Now the White House is trying to spin these hellish years into some sort of legacy over which W did pretty well, after all.
Some idiots will buy this crap.
"Their own share of buffoonery" is the greatest understatement of all times.
