We see HR Exec Ester (Ettie) Graham bites the dust, a month after getting demoted...
Item 10.4 is servcie agreemnt to pay for vaccine verifiation servcies, just FYI. Movement forward so we can begin to safely return to campus in greater numbers.
6:35… You’ll see more of that… that is, if your board start cracking down on the HR corruption. But that takes courage and integrity (if I may quote Rebel Girl). Ettie’s title should have been Director of Inequity.
@7:41pm. Are you a professor? You should attend that union president’s class to learn how to spell. You must me that 5-star ratemyprofessor Quid Pro Quo Queen, who gives her students high grades to earn that rating* (now 4.9 so as not to make it so obvious).
@6:35pm--why was she demoted?
Good question.
Some changes at IVC: Ron Ellison is retiring after 31 years and Psych prof Ben Mis has resigned mid-semester.
11:07, Reorganization. Looks like the demotion happened in August (3 months ago) where they removed "Human Resources" from her title and cut her salary from level 19 down to level 17, step 8, effective 12/1. In 2020 she earned $197K.
More reorg: the "manager" of the IVC Vets Center is now becoming a "director."
She must have done something egregious to earn that demotion. $197k for allowing your district to become the most racist district in CA, at least? IVC will continue to be a racist college. This time, there’s a twist…with more Hispanic employees and leaders in the history of IVC. Not bad…
12:13, how is IVC a racist college? I think the high percentage of Hispanic employees and leaders has remained consistent over time.
The racists at IVC are in the faculty ranks. They wonder why their enrollments are dropping—why would a student want to enroll
In a class where the mostly white professors ignore students of color?
I doubt that many IVC faculty make the distinction you claim without evidence. Most of us, as teachers, see students AS students.
4:44 pm —They are not racist; they are prejudiced in many different ways. Full-timers discriminate against the part-timers. They discriminate against the unvaccinated. They discriminate against the non-white (e.g., all white Academic Senate presidents; all union leaders are selectively white). The messages posted in this blog site confirm all of these.
Students are dropping because many of these professors are desperately brainwashing the students on critical race theory (and how to be anti-racist). These students are tired of hearing how racist Trump is! They go to IVC to specialize in their chosen field, but these professors shove politics down their throat. Look at their required textbooks… talking about professional and ethical obligations.
I meant, they are not JUST racist…
6:05- painful. Trump is a racist. If only the IVC faculty had some understanding of critical race theory.
Bob- proving 4:44pm’s point. Let’s not see race says a retired, white, guy.
Everyone is racist to a certain degree. Don’t be too self righteous. The more you talk about Trump being racist and the more you talk about CRT, the more students perceive you as racist — your defense mechanism. That’s how I take it… as a student. Yeah, it’s painful for you, so get over it and don’t knock down our grades when students don’t agree with you.
Ettie Graham's demotion/termination and IVC allegedly being "racist" are not related. However, she did engage in egregious misconduct (HR cover-ups) including destruction of evidence with help from Robert Bramucci.
Thanks for clarifying, but why is she still there if she “engaged in egregious misconduct” …. Bramucci and Burke are both leaving.
These IVC professors are experts in projection…. “Projection is a psychological defense mechanism in which individuals attribute characteristics they find unacceptable in themselves to another person. For example, a husband who has a hostile nature might attribute this hostility to his wife and say she has an anger management problem.” - https://www.goodtherapy.org/blog/psychpedia/projection
Or, “Trump is a racist. We need CRT!”
9:44-what is critical race theory? Please explain that too.
