Yeah, we have too. (See The most unappreciated person in the history of humankind.)
Somehow, we missed this article, which appeared in the OC Register nearly six months ago:
'Batman v Superman': A mild-mannered economics professor by day, but a caped crusader by night
(OC Reg, March 24, 2016)
...He’s got a piece of Robin’s cape from the 1960s Batman TV show. He’s got a life-sized Catwoman mannequin. Other costumed mannequins populate the room – Poison Ivy, Harely Quinn, Wonder Woman.
“When people come in here, they just say ‘Wow,’” Gensler said....
"He wears this custom-made Batman suit for Halloween while teaching." |

For those of you new to the IVC campus, a little history: Howard came to us during the Raghu years. So when we talk about those years, now perhaps you can see what we mean. Literally.
I'd like to think it's all harmless, good fun, etc., but there's something very odd and disturbing about a grown man with such an obsession.
I totally agree with 7:57. And those of us who were around when HG was Dean at IVC, got to see plenty of the "odd and disturbing" behavior of this individual.
Sometimes I wonder why we didn't sue the district for what we had to endure when Howard was our supervisor. They knew what he was up to and never took responsibility for it. We were, of course too busy teaching to pursue lawsuits against him and the district. We just wanted him to go away which he eventually did. To Saddleback. To the classroom. Egads.
I could leave the past behind if ever anyone involved in it ever said something close to an apology, if they ever acknowledged that things were done that were wrong, so wrong and good people were hurt.
7:57, about a grown woman..., ya know, the one that drives a blue torpedo shaped bicycle to work every day. Ya think she's living in reality?
4:28, the instructor to which you refer rides the bicycle in part because it was dear to her late father. She is in fact among the best people on campus. Es stultior asino. -RB
I think I'll shut off "comments" for a bit. Let the Stupid People recharge their batteries.
Thanks for adjusting the comments Roy. I note you didn't shut them off as much as you are now using the tool that requires people to identify themselves. So, if commentators want to be crude and thoughtless, they need to take personal credit for it. Thanks!
What? They are not squashing the free speech of individuals? If only we could sue the district for not allowing free speech and dissent.
I think we did that, 7:44. A couple times. And won.
Go for it.
5:01, how do you know Howard's fascination with Batman, et.al. isn't because it was dear to his late father? You don't. So you all come on here and slam the guy. He is faculty just like Roy, Lisa and the gang. Why must you all keep disperaging him? Is that any way to treat a fellow colleague? Shameful.
1:10, you stupid bastard, Gensler, as dean, was Mathur's hatchet man. --RB
The Louts are back, stinkin' up this blog with their utter stupidity and loutishness. I'm shutting off comments for a while.
