Morley's fig leaf issued

This just in. In an email from IVC’s President Roquemore, we learn that
Richard Morley, IVC Foundation Executive Director since September 2011, has been appointed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Society for Professional Engineers, (SHPE), a nonprofit with national presence and prestige, based in City of Industry, CA.
Roquemore goes on to describe this plumb job. In the City of Industry. He then writes
Richard was chosen for his knowledge of nonprofit operations, financial management, grant funding and management, fundraising and his extensive entrepreneurial background in professional development at his own company with scientists and engineers for over 18 years.
Richard's leaf is smaller
Next, Glenn lists the “advancements in the IVC Foundation” that have occurred during Richard’s tenure.
He closes his letter by writing, “We congratulate Richard on his new opportunity and thank him for his service to IVC.”
I've already heard a rumor concerning Morley's replacement: BH
At least one reader has seemed to insist that the administrator whose contract was not renewed Monday night was Morley. No, that administrator was Mr. DG. In this case, Mr. Morley somehow found a motivation to seek a job elsewhere sans the sort of process that occurred Monday night.

So perhaps Mr. Cox was right about Morley all along. So which is better, a bullshit commendation from Roquemore or just being escorted off campus?

Being escorted off campus...at least Darryl could leave with his head up high, not like Richard who leaves the way he came....with his head up his ass.

Pretty strong comment by 7:39PM, but I must admit that Richard was a very divisive person on campus. He bullied and berated people and was allowed to get away with it, despite all the talk about "civility and mutual respect" coming out of A100. He came to IVC with the flair of PT Barnum, fooling half the people (administrators) all the time, and will leave like Bozo the Clown, with a smile on his face and blowing his (own) horn.

Time to have an audit done of the Foundation. Too many issues have been raised about the money that was raised (or not raised) from past events. No one really knows what is going on with the Foundation as there has been a very big problem with getting facts and the truth. What ever happened to PRO IVC? It used to be a big fund raiser for the campus community but now it has somehow disappeared. We need to have someone trustworthy take charge and get the Foundation functioning for the benefit of our students.

Richard reported to Glen and the Foundation Board...neither one held him accountable. Check the website and look at the makeup of the Board. It is mostly campus people (not outside independent members) and the campus board members do not report what is going on to the campus community. I believe that is what is called "lack of transparency" and that is not good for a college foundation.

The Board is a bunch of rubber-stampers...whatever Richard said or wanted they did. Check the Foundation Board minutes posted on the wall over in A100.

So, who is in charge if Morely is gone?

Rumor has it that it Glen will pick someone currently on the Board. Unfortunately, they all went along with Morley for the past 3 years, so the campus doesn't really have a lot of trust in any of them. The foundation needs someone who can be believed and trusted.

It might be time for the state chancellor to get wind of this. No transparency lack of Quality administration.

An audit was conducted of both foundations. Nothing wrong was reported.

It's not what was done or not done. It's the way it was done or not done. If a Foundation truly reflects the face and values of the institution then BH is the next logical pick. After all, we are still spinning BS and no one can spread that IVC shit like Bill. The problem with reorganizing out of a can of worms is that you're always left with a can of worms.

Bring back Rickner!

God no, not Rickner...he deserted us to go to Saddleback and then supported Richard in his role at IVC. Get someone you can trust.
