Went to the production of the Merchant of Venice last night: quite impressive, very intimate.
Here is my cherry: There is little trust between the college administration and the faculty. The same is true for the
classified staff. Faculty are frustrated with the micromanaging of CJ and the lack of response
from GR. The deans have little control of their respective areas. Faculty feel like their voice is
not heard. This problem is made much worse by the fact that LAD acts more like an administrator than someone representing the faculty. Overall, there is a great deal of unrest and distrust at IVC. It is reaching critical mass. The biggest problem is the lack of confidence in CJ and fear of his retaliatory ways. CJ absolutely has to go. The classified staff hate and fear CJ.
