A pro-education-spending, personal freedom-hating Libertarian?

.....Vern Nelson of the Orange Juice Blog posts this morning about a forum held Monday, at UCI, by Young Americans for Liberty: Choi mumbles incomprehensibly, Fox Rocks, at YAL 70th AD forum.
.....It was squawk night for candidates of the 70th Assembly district, including our own Don “Spanky” Wagner.
.....Nelson didn’t attend, so he relies on his informants, who tell him, he says, that “Jerry Amante came off the best by simply not showing up.”
.....Nelson, it turns out, is no fan of Wagner:
.....Deranged wingnut Don Wagner, famed devotee of corporal punishment in our schools, achieved unwanted applause by comparing marijuana legalization to the possibility of legalizing gambling and prostitution. Lib friends: Don was not ADVOCATING that! His presentation was also notable for its utterly unselfconscious schizophrenia, as he shifted effortlessly from railing against Sacramento’s supposedly ever-growing wastefulness to bitching about all the recent cuts in education funding.
.....Nelson--who, when not blogging, tickles the ivories--seems impressed with, or just attracted to, Democratic candidate Melissa Fox. He even posts a video of the gal:

Does Don have a video? I'll try to track one down.
Don should consider putting this one up (from 2006). It rocks (I made it) and it is an honest portrayal of the man, as I'm sure Don would agree:

Don Wagner looks like a baby going poop in that photo.

If he goes to Sacramento, we're spared him - but then the state suffers - what a dilemma!

Refreshingly horrifying. "Partisan" means relating to a party, at least in the context of an appropriate concern for fairness in a nonpartisan school board. "Liberal busybody"? Liberal and conservative are not adjectives that describe a political party affiliation. They are broad and not specific, again, to a party. God help us, we worked to elect a moderate Republican to the SOCCCD board. And haven't these people heard of a Reagan Democrat? Sigh. Oh well, back to pounding a nail into my head.
