Orange County hospitals are preparing to enter surge mode as the county saw another bump in coronavirus hospitalizations, while the virus continues to spread.
“Hospital Surge Plans are already activated to an extent, as conditions worsen,” reads a Wednesday situation report from the county office of Emergency Medical Services.

I’m sad to see that the board agenda includes nothing regarding a resolution in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Yes, that would have been a signal to students to be welcome as students and not just white ones. We need a BOT on this issue that is pro-active.
A resolution in support of BLM could be considered a political statement, and the BOT may want to steer clear of that.
I've never felt that non-white students were unwelcome at our college. We have a diverse student population proportionate to our area's demographics. If the truth is otherwise, I am unaware.
I believe the experiences of our non-white students may vary from what 1:35 indicates. As a non-white instructor I have certainly felt unwelcome through the years. We do have a diverse population but the very existence of that population doesn't mean they are welcomed by all, either in their peer group or by the institution.
