Yesterday was the National Day of Action for Dreamers. At the little college in the orange groves, DACA students and their allies set up an installation to mark the day and educate folks about the undocumented. The 11 empty chairs featured the photos and stories of individuals immigrants and drew quiet respectful attention throughout the day.

Among the Dream Act supporters was David Min, a candidate for the 45th, the congressional district now represented by Walters. Min, a professor of law at UCI, recently received the California Democratic party endorsement. |

We'll be there.
Very moving!
How are DACA students being attacked by the current administration?
I believe that "the current administration" refers to the Trump administration, something that IVC's Roquemore reportedly supports. Trump, or course, has put DACA kids into jeopardy by acting to end the DACA program.
Right. Kiana is very out about her support of Trump and his policies.
Many DACA people are Mexican. Trump has called undocumented Mexicans killers and rapists. Sounds like an attack to me.
You have to wonder why the Administration doesn't see fit to honor or recognize these students for what they did this week. It was a beautiful recognition that showed a lot of thought and care. They send out all these emaisl congratulating this student for this and that student for that...NEVER for something like this. At Saddleback the student newspaper covers events like this but at IVC it is just the official PR department of the college president who decides who or what is worthy of notice. And since the college president and his wife are Trump supporters, it's obvious which events Dianne is going to cover and which she is not. So it's like it never happened. It's a shame.
