Trustee John Williams turns in his resignation

Went to the post-election Faculty Association shindig tonight. Got there late, just as trustee John Williams explained that he had turned in his resignation as trustee this afternoon—and that Monday's meeting will be his last.
He said that it was time. Don't know more than that, really.
We previously reported that Williams would be resigning soon, though we had guessed that that would occur in January.
In attendance: Chancellor Gary Poertner, IVC's Glenn Roquemore and Craig Justice, Saddleback's Tod Burnett (I think), trustee Marcia Milchiker (and husband), trustee Nancy Padberg (and husband), trustee John Williams, trustee T.J. Prendergast, the usual suspects among unionists, et al.
There were others, I think, but I arrived too late to hear the introductions, so dunno.
Monday's board meeting should be interesting.

I guess Williams couldn't balance all his jobs - now he'll be a triple dipper!

Bye, Bye John, Don't let the door that just slamed Wagners ass slap yours too.

I guess the pressure from all those disgruntled employees of the PAPG got to him! I think he's quitting as to stop any investigation into wrong doing from coming his way (you know - falsely filling out timesheets when you are not at work is a crime).

Didn't he just go to Orlando? I guess he just had to have the tax payers pay for one last trip across the Country! I am sure it just came to him to resign after the trip instead of knowing ahead of time and cancelling the trip knowing he wouldn't be there anymore - right? Maybe his attorney Phil Greer is giving him some sound legal advise and he is taking it to heart!

Oh, THAT rat-bastard....

I'm so glad you're rid of him! Congratulations. Could a new era be approaching?
