In truth, Bill Vega, a former chancellor of the Coast district, is visiting us at the direction of the ACCJC (Accreditor). He wants to know what really goes on at the college and district.
It's all about "process."
UPDATE (9/2/08): new information suggests that the ACCJC may have had only a minor role in Vega's visit. See 9/2 post above.

I don't get this either, really (to be honest). Why is he here? (I can't go - I have class - do they think we don't teach or something?)
The "process" goes like this, the report gets written, our complaints are either in it or not, most likely watered down or missing entirely, the report gets signed despite objections, the team comes and holds meetings, people attend or they don't and then it is the same as it ever was.
Too bad.
It's broken and no one knows how to fix it but this "process" is a joke.
Give it up.
People do what they need to do in order to get what they want. That's the process.
What happened?
Full report, please!
I didn't get to go - who went?
Just watch - see who gets rewarded for playing along with this charade.
Some will be surprised to discover who crosses over.
What do you mean, 8:27?
I think he suggesting that we're being used - used by someone who is going to get something big out of it.
It's an old story.
