Whatever happened, I apologize—Dave Alvin
So dry your tears and baby, walk outside
It's the Fourth of July
On the stairs I smoke a cigarette alone
The Mexican kids are shooting fireworks below
Hey, baby, it's the Fourth of July

Hi Chunk. I know Dave Alvin wrote it, but it was all about X playing it. Although that was tha lbhum that Tony Gilkerson played guitar, as Billy Zoom was "on hiatus".
You gotta love John and Exene...
You're a handsome devil, Chunk. But, get a haircut. Those rascals sure do love their Uncle Chunk. No doubt Mom and Dad are grateful you are willing to give monkey rides and wrestle with abandon. Nice photos B.
Yes, X. Love 'em. But I've seen Alvin in concert, and he deserves all the credit I can give him.
Haircut? Yep. Guilty as charged.
Dave Alvin opened for X when we saw them at the House of Blues about three years ago. It was the first time we heard "Boneyard" and were blown away.
