A Missouri community college goes after nearby for-profits with TV ads that name names and compare tuition rates. Will other community colleges follow suit?
It's not only costs but also completion rates and - dare I say it - standards. It pains me to see so many for-profit hucksters on our quad -and to haar how our own staff recommends them to our students many of who can ill afford the tuition - and need and deserve much better instruction. Of course, what can you expect when so many of our leading administrators have their won degrees from such places - let alone the fact many still take classes and/or teach there in their "spare time."
